🇸🇬Singapore to Kuala Lumpur🇲🇾 | Luxurious Coach Review… Transtar First Class Solitaire Suite

That was quick, in this next episode of my travel series – I depart Singapore headed to my next destination, Kuala Lumpur. Most people would choose to fly because KL is only 390km away. Did you know there are a whole host of coach services you can utilise as well? It ranges from the mundane to the crazy luxurious decked out ones like the one I’m on.

  1. i've tried coach travelling during younger years. with 2 kids with me now, probably would do it again soon within these 2 years. thanks for the insights to the comfy ride

  2. Just wondering, how big is the cargo hold for bags? Planning to do this trip with my parents but since we're coming from Canada, we will have 3-4 big suitcases total. It seems like with the double-decker seating, the cargo area is quite small.

  3. I’d do it in a heartbeat . At my age though , the lack of a toilet onboard my be a bit problematic 😀. Very cheap for the level of service and onboard comfort . Thanks mate and keep ‘em comin .

  4. I actually paid $98 per pax for my upcoming trip to Genting Highlands in December, definitely excited yet afraid, but after this video it did help me out with clarify my doubts etc.

  5. Lovely comfortable coach, I'd travel on it. I have already done this route back in 1984, flying Brisbane-Singapore-Kuala Lumpur-Abu Dhabi-London. I remember we had to stay in our plane at KL airport, no photos out of windows and soldiers with rifles surrounding the plane. Apparently another plane was hi-jacked 200 kms away. We were sprayed above our heads, then took off again. I flew solo, so was a daunting experience to remember.

  6. Wow I had no idea such buses existed! I’ve never been to either Singapore or Malaysia but if I ever do go I’d love to take this bus journey. It looks amazingly comfortable

  7. I would. Because you don’t need to rock up too early and go through all the baggage security. $60 SGD is excellent value for first class with a meal and some snacks included and a 7 hour trip

  8. Hey Ryan…what a beautiful luxurious coach…a bit like our double decker airport coach here in Adelaide….not….haha….nah its ok really…..love watching your videos of yor travels… I really hope that we will meet one day, that would be so cool….stay safe 🙂

  9. I’d definitely take this form of transport over to KL if time wasn’t an issue and I wanted to see the scenery of Malaysia from the ground… but seriously, this is great! For my upcoming trip (SIN-KUL) I’ve paid around $80 AUD… (plane ticket) so at half this price I think the Luxury coach seats are good value! Definitely on the to do list in the future… excellent video Ryan

  10. Brilliant and funny as always Ryan thank you. When you first showed the back of the bus I thought Karaoke area….. seriously!!!!….. that coach is years ahead of anything in Oz. Looked so luxurious even the meal. Yes worth doing and you get to see the countryside. Stops are always the best and not just for the pee break, the food stalls are heaven. Shame about the delays you had. I've done some long distance bus travel in China, Vietnam and Philippines. They have delays are not luxurious and often not clean like this. The clowns in those countries drive at 200kph every chance they can get – scary, not exiting.

  11. Very classy bus seats. I have caught buses in Malaysia and they are very good quality but I never had a luxury ride like that!
Look forward to seeing what food you had in KL. I sure hope there is a big bowl of Laksa!!

  12. Dang I was hoping to be the first to comment! Seriously interested in watching this review. I've worked in SIN and visited Malaysia so many times during my expat life. However, I've only ever flown so this is a first for me. Drag queen door bitch! HAHAHAHA HOLY MOLY! This is not a coach/bus, this is a throne on wheels. Why would anyone want to be on the lower deck? Upper deck all the way. This is better than most business class. 370km is nothing to us aussies. Detained in immigration…Border Security! Sigh…wish i was back there. I would rather have that little Malaysian bento box over anything Matt Moran dishes up. HAHA Seriously this is SO WORTH the price. I would actually do this too, like you said, if I'm not in a rush. Seriously so excited to follow your foodie adventure in Malaysia.
