Great questions! Enjoyed the interview ๐
Great video, Dan !
By the way, have you ever used a virtual mailbox and is it necessary ? Thx !
Thank you!
Super cool! Great video. ๐
Dan, please do a video on where slow travelers can stay the longest without a visa. I didnโt even know Albania had a 1 year visa-free option!
I'm in Vietnam hooray ๐ thx Dan and Qiang. The us dollar is strong I'm in a 5 star ๐
This has been my lifestyle for 38 months now. Italy, Israel, Greece, Bulgaria, Spain, Brazil,,Paraguay, Colombia, and Mexico. Guatemala next week. I donโt plan on stopping. Am 58 now originally from the UK. I kept my pending down by being involved in 11 volunteer projects.
How do you do health care/ insurance when slow traveling?
Super interesting interview. I have spent so much time travelling in Asia, it's really great to hear about these inexpensive European countries.
I want to slow travel too, but my 401k just lost 27%.
I think it's gonna go lower and lower due to recession.
What George is doing in very do-able. Our plan is one city – one month. The price of lodging really drops when you stop being a tourist and become a short-term resident. Also, it is so much nicer taking the time to meet people.
Dan, I've said this before and I need to say it again. You are an excellent interviewer and I always enjoy these types of videos. Cheers!
Very insightful perspective on traveling abroad while enjoying the various cultures, foods, and local hospitality kind of like a moving bucket list of the unknown in terms of immersing and discovering many unknown places within specific regions and simply taking it all in as you go.
Do you think this will all still be possible in the next 10 years or do you think the Philippines will modernize and become expensive to live in
You both brought up an important point about the role of political views when you are traveling or living in a foreign country. Regardless of their own internal political situation they view you as not involved and they can interact more friendly with you because you donโt carry that political baggage. I even find fellow expats to be more tolerant because our immediate expat lives and concerns are so separate from what is going on back in our home country.
Did I hear that right? His oldest granddaughter just had her fourth child (his great grand children) and yet his mother is still alive?
Super good video. Good to see a single guy traveling….
"Kinda"
Go to Romania, George! It is so beautiful :)!
I had a window maker heart attack in October 2020. Very fortunate to still be alive. I am semi retired living in the Philippines currently. Life is too short, I should have been here five years ago.
As far as I knowโฆ. We just get this one life.
Make sure to have some fun
You only have one life to live. If travel is something that you really want to do, or anything else for that matter, make it happen!
