For a house you might be limited to the footprint of the present building, but you could consider a second floor to give you more space. The location on a good highway is an asset, though there's also that right-of-way through the property for your neighbor. Wireless internet access isn't as fast and cheap as fiber optics, but it's OK for occasional personal use.
