  1. This is exactly what we want. Now how to get a mortgage on it while having to work in the Netherlands for 6 more years … Income is high enough but EU rules do not make it easy. Free traffic of goods and people, yes. Not so much on money. I'd really like to buy it now but I guess that's impossible when not being a Portugese resident yet 😞

Fab fab property with bags of potential for the lower floor…and love love love the gardens and land❤️❤️❤️…as others have mentioned, the land ownership is potentially a stumbling block and needs clarifying and sadly I’m stuck on pariah island till October ‘til I’ve sold my house otherwise I’d be calling Fernando today! 😊

  4. Best value property you have presented. Scope for two separate self contained units for letting, plus owners accommodation for £155K. Such a beautiful setting with mature garden and lovely courtyards. In Cornwall, if you could get such a property, you are talking closer to £1Million.
    Sounds like you were impressed with this one Nick. Be interested to know what you thought of the building quality.
    You are getting really good at filming and presenting – hope it sells to someone who watches your channel and you get bit back. You are developing respectful relationship with the agents you feature I feel.

  5. The house I'm currently renting has the forced air heat/cooling and it's amazing. You forget it's even there, the house is just kept a comfortable temperature. It's been extremely inexpensive to run too. Beautiful home and what an amazing view!

  7. There are two types of air source heat pumps. The ones that have a unit on the inside like a typical air conditioner and the ones that just heat the water in a radiator system. The former can usually be reversed so they become an air conditioner when needed or a heater when needed. The latter cannot be reversed, they can only warm the water in the radiator or be off. However when the estate agent said their was a (disused) gas boiler it was not clear if that also heated water in radiators.

    BTW when my parents moved from one farm to another or when they took on a new cat, it was usually the case they locked it in a shed for some time so that it lost the urge to find its way back to its old home.

BEAUTIFUL HOUSE & PROPERTY…A FEW LITTLE THINGS TO CHANGE…THE WINDOWS IN THE KITCHEN/LIVING AREA ARE TEDIOUS FOR OPENING & CLOSING & THE WALL AREA BETWEEN EACH WINDOW CUTS OFF THE FLOW OF THE SCENERY OUTSIDE THE WINDOW…I WOULD OPT FOR A LONG CONTINUOUS WINDOW WHERE THE WINDOWS EITHER SLIDE TO THE LEFT & RIGHT OR OPEN FROM THE CENTER OUTWARDS TO EACH SIDE – WITH AN UNOBSTRUCTED EXPANSE OF VIEW…THE BATHROOM HAS A WONDERFUL WIDE & COMFORTABLE LOOKING TUB & THE SHOWER IS AMPLE…AND I THINK I WOULD OPEN OUT THE BEDROOM & WORK AREA AND MAKE IT A FULL KITCHEN/LIVING ROOM AREA. HEATING PUMPS, ETC. DO ADD ALOT OF COST TO MONTHLY UPKEEP…I WOULD DEFINITELY LOOK FOR A MORE OFFGRID SOLUTION TO LOWER THE MONTHLY BILLS…IF YOU DON'T LIKE NEIGHBOURS, THERE SEEM TO BE NEIGHBOURS ACROSS THE STREET & TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE PROPERTY…THAT MIGHT BE A DEALBREAKER FOR ME…BUT, SOME PEOPLE DON'T MIND SUCH A SITUATION…OTHERWISE, LOVELY PLACE…;)
