This week we did our best to rid the garden of weeds so the tractor could pass to till the earth. We cleaned out several furniture that were bitten by woodworm and black mold and cleaned the place. Making progress little by little. And celebrated my dad’s birthday!

My name is Debora and I moved to Portugal to start a new life. My sister and I bought an abandoned piece of land with a cottage and a barn on it. Our plan is to restore the farm and convert the barn into a home.
We’re nursing the land back to life after it has been neglected for so long. We left the city to live a more meaningful and simple life more in tune with nature. Being Spanish and Portuguese and moving here to Portugal, the land of my ancestors, has felt like finally coming home.
We’re trying to be more self-sufficient and trying to go off-grid as much as possible. Follow us along on our journey as we clear the land, renovate the house and barn, start a garden in the future and do many other projects.

As busy looking and wild the tiles are, I love them and glad you will try to keep them. The property is beautiful. I would love this size garden. The possibilities are endless but even now being able to eat your own fruit, delicious.
