  1. Excellent video as always. Would you mind doing a video explaining what happens when you

    1. Spend one year in a country on a digital nomad visa that is not tax free
    2. Then spend another year on a digital nomad visa that is tax free

And if you are coming from a country where you are a tax resident of a tax territory
And if you are coming from a country where you are a tax resident of a normal tax country

If you could aslo explain the process please. Do you notify each country of who you are going to pay in regards to taxes? Do you need an international tax accountant etc etc.

    Thanks!

  2. Such a stimulating video to wet the appetite, thank you Michael.
I know you have described possible digital nomads in other videos but would a new possible topic be in the common types of digital nomads you see, ie: common age, gender, situation, areas of work, and if possible how they the situation may look in say 5 years time.
Thank you and please keep'em coming!
    Bri

  3. As always, great video. Last year I visited Cape Verde for two months. The remote visa process was beyond incompetent implementation and chaotic. After two months, I left. It’s a small archipelago (500,000 people) and the food was not the best, very dry rocky topography, infrastructure is meh. As an English speak it was a challenge with language barrier except the tourist island Sal. On Instagram the pictures are beautiful (edited photos😃) I was surprisingly underwhelmed upon arrival, not the best beaches. The pros are: beautiful mild mannered people and clean environment.

  4. I think that you should consider to do a subset video for NO RESTRICTION places. I think lots of people would gladly go for nomad to leave in total freedom as well as enjoy living in new place.

  5. I think Iceland is underrated for digital nomads, I would say particularly for those in the creative professions like painter/designer/writer. The landscape and the community there would really inspire you. Services are great, though expensive it is possible to bring down those expenses.

Another YouTuber "traveling with Kristen" spent time there, and enjoyed it.

One other thing, this time about Cyprus. Something that's underemphasized is it is rather inexpensive, great wine, friendly people but also very short & cheap flights to Israel. If you have connections to the vibrant start-up scene in Israel but for whatever reason living in Israel is not a right fit for you (say due to family reasons), then consider Cyprus. Short (<50min) flights under 60 Euros.

I keep editing, because it is just a good video – jam packed with info. I did not realize Cayman Islands has a nomad digital worker Concierge service. Will look into that! Minor, nit-picky correction since not everyone on this forum may be knowledgable in geography — Cayman Islands is not a country, it is an overseas territory of Great Britain. And unlike some other territories there are no plans for more autonomy or devolving away from the Commonwealth. I would guess you can stay there as a resident with no issues, if you have similar access as other non-main(land/island) UK, say Isle-of-Man or Channel Islands such as with an innovator visa. With Brexit I would guess European residents no longer get automatic residency, with perhaps the exception of Ireland (?) given their privlidged relationship with UK.

  6. Great list Mike and Angela. Cheers.

Would be great if you could make a detailed video on the Italy digital nomad visa please. In that video, please do cover the tax treatment as well (if any special exemptions are available under the digital nomad scheme), and whether the time spent as a digital nomad counts towards permanent residence in Italy. 🇮🇹

  7. Can you do a video on countries that have no tax on foreign income, Taiwan gold visa has this policy, I hear japan has the same policy for non permanent residents up to a certain time thought I'm not sure of the credibility of the information.
