Have you been searching for a home for you and your horse? This three-bedroom, one bath home with barn on 1.84 country acres is the place for you. Located on the Palmer Road in Newport, this is the perfect set up for a hobby farm. A peaceful country location, yet only 10 minutes from Wal-Mart, Tractor Supply, restaurants, and most services.

The home was built in 1981 and the current owner has just installed new laminate flooring, wainscoting and freshly painted the interior. The first floor has an open floor plan with an eat in kitchen and living room overlooking the front yard. The master bedroom has a built-in bookshelf and closet space. Finishing the first floor is the full bath and a second bedroom.

The daylight basement has the third bedroom and the home office space. There is also a utility room for the working components of the home. The laundry area finishes the basement level.

There is a large 12 x 24 deck which makes a great outdoor space for entertaining or family cookouts. If you enjoy gardening, the soils are comprised of mostly Elliottsville-Chesuncook soils which are suitable for most plants.

This is a prime recreational area that Maine is known for. About 3 minutes from the home is a primitive launch site for Sebasticook Lake. Take a kayak out for an afternoon on one of the areas largest lakes, known for its bass fishing. If you have a larger boat, the main boat launch is about 10 minutes away. If you enjoy down hill skiing or snowboarding, Hermon Mountain Ski area is 20 minutes away. Bangor and the international airport are an easy 30 minute commute. Thomas College in Waterville Maine is just 40 minutes to the south. Traveling from Boston will take you about 3 ½ hours.

  1. Thanks for the tour, I was curious about Newport, ME. Anyway, I finally get to make my first scouting mission to Maine starting next Friday. My family and I are landing in Portland and driving up the coast after sampling some food for a day in city. Of course, we're going to Bar Harbor and Acadia, ect. I've said this before on your videos and I'll say it again. The more I learn about Maine, the more I like it. A little farmstead type of place is exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks for sharing.

  2. That’s a nice little home. Perfect place for a seasonal flower business. I love when you guys show the town landscape. Definitely need to know info. Very familiar with Newport. Just up the road from Unity. Thanks for the tour Peter!😊

  3. Thanks for another great video. Your videos are honest in showing these properties. For this one, I just have to say that it is a pretty high price for a small house with big taxes in that little town. Taxes vary greatly, seemingly so, in Maine from county to county. At this property, one has to wonder about the services provided by those taxes especially emergency, police and hospital care.
