MIDNIGHT positing: regarding the FEARS subject, as for me, I had none, while relocating to Montreal Canada in the 1970s as a young black woman. My mind was made up.I was safe and had a wonderful time. Traveling to Central America, solo, again.I remarried , no FEARS. MONEY helps for sure as a black woman. So thankful to my husbands. Eze, life in traveling and living abroad…………………………….. back from crystal digging again in the Quachita mountains of the USA. ., very content in life, age 70!
HEy. The Summit sounds wonderful. I won't be able to attend HOWEVER I do hope that your videos and perhaps sharing afterwards will help me in making the move abroad. As a retiree, I need that money talk. Again, to a successful summit!
I dont think you should fear but have realistic fears ! For example, I noticed you have not mentioned Guatemala. We are a brown single mum and son living with the Mayans amd its been quite unbearable. I did think Mayan could discriminate against a brown single mother but they do ! your videos are a huge comfort ! especially when you said "hiding in your room because you can't deal with the people" That is us atm. Interestingly, white people have said they think the Mayan people are "sweet" all we have had is smirks, stares, greed, exploitation – even from the grounds keeper! Black people stay away from rural Lake Atitlan they have been discriminated for years, so they do it themselves. They hate Americans due to the35 yr old war. They think im American so you get the full passive aggressive weight from them. Its unbearable !
Nairobi's restaurant in Savannah salmon and grits is great 😃
I agree with you, Stephanie. I see house sitting similar to a job. Just like an employer expects you to show up and be reliable, so do the families that are requesting a housesitter. I also feel that you should be a person who doesn't mind pets if you have an assignment that includes them. People are crazy about their pets and they are members of the family. I personally would only feel comfortable leaving any pet that I owned with someone who would treat them well!
I felt the fear and did it anyway I'm ecstatic I'm happy I'm living in a gated community in PPF NJIRO Arusha Tanzania what I call a life of ease comfort and mid luxuryI I have a maid, a grounds person and I do almost nothingness bathing, massages and figuring new ways to pamper self , while healing from the trauma of being in America for only 10 years.
Sorry I missed the live!
