What l did wonder about is your ideas about solar energy. We are supplied with electricity by a Portuguese company.
I do not know if you realise it but a percentage of the bill is reinvested into renewable energy.
l could give you an approximate cost of what we pay. but our place is different in size and construction.
For us the outlay and return to go solar is not cost effective.
A good return would be from solar water heating.
With the tubing sited on a south facing roof. But you do need a good roof structure plus a placement for the storage of the hot water tank.
Together with a water supply in the first place.

Wow – congratulations! How exciting for all 3 of you. Looking forward to hearing about your D7 process coming up. We've done quite a bit of research, we've got one NIF but that's about it at this stage (due to market downturn etc). We've got a grid-tied solar system and 3 chickens at the moment and yep, they're not for meat production, just for eggs. Big ups to Debi for the "Bits and Bobs" ! 🙂
