  1. Vapor barrier commenters, you are all right. It would be better if it goes horizontally, I didn't think about it. It's not the end of the world though, because the overlap is substantial and I will add a sheet metal layer underneath the stones. There won't be leaks. "Locking in" the insulation against dormice is also thought of.

  2. Hi Martijn, My wife and I love your channel. We've watched every episode. The vapour barrier layout was concerning me as well but, as you've pointed out, the amount of material used in the overlap should protect the roof from any moisture issues. How do you plan to reinstall the flat stone so that everyone fits well together? That's the challenge with stone in that no 2 stones are alike and they must fit well together for best protection and aesthetics. Thanks again!

  3. Oufff..!! Incredible volume increase of commercial ads are killing the whole experience, more and more. I didn’t counted them but there must be 30 to 40 ads in your videos now. I know you wanna make money from your work, but it’s starting to become unbearable and you will loose loyal listeners. Honest well intended feedback. Much Love! ❤

  4. Beautiful video Martin – its been a while since I watched your channel so great to see the progress you have made, one thing though putting up barbed wire fences seems uncool and goes against the spirit of living in the natural unspoiled environment.

  5. Surprised the architect did not recommend rigid insulation, will see how you cover it but the soft fiber seems like a home for critters and a problem it it gets wet. Also I think rigid has better insulation value.

  6. Hi Martin love the build and lifestyle love the slow nature of the video too I’ve watched from close to the beginning and enjoyed everyone. I would just like to comment on the fence my wife and family are Italian and still have farms in Abruzzo and foraging is a part of the culture very rare to see a fence unless your trying to keep livestock in and I know one of the things you’ve enjoyed has been wandering around the mountains looking at other cabins and there construction and it’s lovely to hear the cow bells coming through it’s a shame to see a fence and signs go up I hope other people don’t do the same isn’t that freedom what we enjoy about the Italian culture
Thankyou again keep up the good work
