  1. Hi there, just come over from Cindy's channel. Nice drone footage, just a recommendation: add some music to the footage to avoid silence. YouTube has some free music and there are other websites that allow you to use their music for free if you reference where it came from.

  2. A friend of Cindy's has a channel — Solo 50plus ExPat Portugal — where she interviewed the owner of a fabulous tourist licensed historical AirB&B that is for sale. It is way above your price range (800K) BUT the owner gives insight into how properties are priced in the rural areas. I recommend you watch that interview. Also realize — ruins are important because it means you might be able to build on the property — but each area has their own restrictions plus in fire areas there are more restrictions. You need to check with the local government if there is a ruin on the property because they will tell you what you can do and appear to be very helpful. It is very important to get a lawyer that speaks English and have the sellers provide a survey (at their cost). One channel — Destino Portugal — found out he thought he owned a specific piece of land only to find out — after he cleaned it up — that he did not. It is all due to the inheritance laws. Also — not all real estate agents are made equal in Portugal. Finding a good one can be difficult. Many soon to be Ex-Pats like to make contact with Ex-Pats already in country — like OK Portugal who video's properties and Joe Marsh from Farmer For Fun whose neighbors look to him when they want to sell. They can be a wealth of information. Then you have the dreaded wood worm. Eco and Beyond (now renamed but their old videos are still up) bought a home and were drawn by the beautiful woodwork. Sadly, they found they were infested with wood worm and had to gut the house. Yes, there are pitfalls but there are also fantastic opportunities. Good luck :o)
