I got lost in the Lisbon Metro and asked direction of a worker. After instead of saying. "Abrigada" I slipped up and said "Gracias" and I got yelled at! "NOT SPANISH! PORTUGUESE!!"
I liked the clear and sincere form of these five myths in relation to Portugal. The 1755 earthquake was just one episode in Portugal's long and glorious history. I will give just two examples: "Battle of Aljubarrota", 35000 Castilians, (Spanish), against 6500 Portuguese, Portugal won. "Battle of Diu", 200 Ottoman vessels against 17 Portuguese ships. Portugal won!
Hi, Kat. In this video, I enjoyed watching, learning and laughing😂. Thank you!
This is so SMART. Thank you!
My understanding is that Portuguese people are insulted when spoken to in Spanish and they are likely to ignore you.
