50 and BROKE, Do this Now | Can You Afford to Retire | F.I.R.E.| Retire Abroad | Black Expat

SOUND STARTS @ 1:23 seconds.
Are you are almost or over 50 and broke, you should do these 3 things now. If you don’t know if you can afford to retire, much less retire abroad; these are the basic keys to financial independence. It is shockingly easy to understand how to get to a position to retire – the hard part is doing it! Ric and I didn’t get our financial act together until we were way past 50 years old; in fact, it was about 3.5 years ago now. We changed our thinking and our habits, gave each dollar a job and now we went from a negative net worth to retired!

ABOUT HALISI AND RIC: If you’re like us, you were living your life – helping your kids through college and other endeavors, taking a vacation here and there, and strivin’. Then one day you wake up and realize 50 is staring you in the face and your savings and retirement account look piddly.
We changed the way we handled our finances and within three years our net worth went from -$22k to $800k+ and we were in a position to retire. We are currently scouting locations to retire abroad.

We are not financial advisors, but financial educators. The content in our courses, on our website, and on our YouTube videos are for educational purposes only and merely cite our own personal opinions. In order to make the best financial decision that suits your needs, you must conduct your own research and seek the advice of a licensed financial advisor if necessary.

  1. I missed the live but YOU KNOW I wasn’t going to miss the replay!!

This was a fun episode with the scenarios. My cutdowns were the daily coffee and I relaxed BIG TIME on the Amazon purchases. See you next week!!

  2. The second scenario is terrible . . . a 41 year old living off a parent! 😁 Just want to say that you guys have been encouraging! Fortunately, I paid off my credit card debt and am working to keep it that way. I am 63 and need 14 more months of time in service to maximize my pension. I wasn't considering Portugal, but now I'm planning a scouting trip. PS . . . I am single, does Ric have a tall, smart, adventurous Brother?! 😊 Help a Sista out!!
