  1. Louise! Spectacular! Makes me sad that I didn’t get that far north to see all of the beauty there. Leaving PT next week from the Algarve. Will put it on my list for next trip over. Thanks 😊

  2. Its really a stunning place I had the luck to be there and the silence he mentioned is pure true I never felt this deep silence… And congratulations to my dear friend Henrique who has been puting all his heart to this lovely project I wish him all the luck❤️🙏

  3. Louise the Minho area. It was from here Portugal started. It is my ancestral land where my sides have lived for over 500 years. I absolutely adore Minho. Industrial areas are bad anywhere but Minho is Celtic, Germanic, Roman and very, very Portuguese. You have to go to Ponte de Lima, Ponte da Barca, Arcos de Valdevez and Sistelo is a dream, but there is so much more, like Guimarães , Esposende, Monção, Caminha, Viana do Castelo, just wonderful, wonderful places and Trás os Montes e just as Celtic and lovely.

  4. Louise, can you tell me where the geographical line is between dry central PT and the lush green northern part? I have been trying to figure this out via the maps but I do not understand how the mountains and weather interact….so I do not know where the geographic lines are located.

Do you have a car? I thought I listened to something where you said you didn't have a car….so I was wondering about how public transports are in that area? I would imagine one would need to have a car to get between villages.

I have heard that some cities have a cooperative spirit towards their grazing animals….so everyday people share the task to go out and shepherd the animals. By chance have you discovered what cities have these cooperative habits?

BTW: the dog is just lonely and wants you to have your breakfast with him. 🙂

  5. You should have visited the castle, it´s on of the best kepted ones in Portugal. The domus building nexto to the castle is quite unique in Portugal too.

  6. Good morning Mrs Louise
