Louise! Spectacular! Makes me sad that I didn’t get that far north to see all of the beauty there. Leaving PT next week from the Algarve. Will put it on my list for next trip over. Thanks 😊
Its really a stunning place I had the luck to be there and the silence he mentioned is pure true I never felt this deep silence… And congratulations to my dear friend Henrique who has been puting all his heart to this lovely project I wish him all the luck❤️🙏
A vila mais bonita do norte de portugal Cavez !!!!
Louise the Minho area. It was from here Portugal started. It is my ancestral land where my sides have lived for over 500 years. I absolutely adore Minho. Industrial areas are bad anywhere but Minho is Celtic, Germanic, Roman and very, very Portuguese. You have to go to Ponte de Lima, Ponte da Barca, Arcos de Valdevez and Sistelo is a dream, but there is so much more, like Guimarães , Esposende, Monção, Caminha, Viana do Castelo, just wonderful, wonderful places and Trás os Montes e just as Celtic and lovely.
So beautiful, again the north continues to impress. How is the weather, more bearable than central at the moment?
Beautiful area, thanks for the ride!
It looks a little colder there. What is the weather like in the winter months? Beautiful spot.
Louise, eucalyptus trees are not native to PT. In addition, when those trees burn they give off toxic chemicals…formaldehyde! Not good for PT!
I think you meant to write the dog isn't "allowed" in the house vs what you wrote "aloud".
It would be interesting to hear Henrique's story and how he came to PT…when you "interviewed him".
Louise, can you tell me where the geographical line is between dry central PT and the lush green northern part? I have been trying to figure this out via the maps but I do not understand how the mountains and weather interact….so I do not know where the geographic lines are located.
Do you have a car? I thought I listened to something where you said you didn't have a car….so I was wondering about how public transports are in that area? I would imagine one would need to have a car to get between villages.
I have heard that some cities have a cooperative spirit towards their grazing animals….so everyday people share the task to go out and shepherd the animals. By chance have you discovered what cities have these cooperative habits?
BTW: the dog is just lonely and wants you to have your breakfast with him. 🙂
Wow, what a beautiful place to stay!
I'm even more curious now to head further north from here in Braga to see what's up there 🙂
I don’t understand why you don’t have 10,000 subs yet, your videos are wonderful.
I totally loved Monsanto, but this place is a Nature lovers paradise , the tranquillity and beauty is unsurpassed so far, Thank you for sharing this place. 💜
You should have visited the castle, it´s on of the best kepted ones in Portugal. The domus building nexto to the castle is quite unique in Portugal too.
