Old trick…lie about a property already sold to hook a buyer and then offer something else…these f.u.c.k.e.r.s will never have my money. This is common practice. BOYCOTT THESE REAL ESTATE LOW LIFE LIARS.

It would really be interesting, what Your honest expectation were? Did You expect easier live then in Your homecountry? Did You expect Portugal beeing a "discount-country"? Have You expected the same condition, as portuguese people face immicrating to Your homecountry? Please tell people watching Your video Your real motivation!… not anly how You expierenced traveling through Europe. Because even portuguese people have to make a living every day.

I lived innSpain nearly ten years and it is much cheaper all round (although I’m moving to Portugal now as I need a change) … I have a couple of friends chose to live very close to Portugal’s boarder and have the best of both worlds.

Olá Oli and Jana, nice to meet you both! But have you found your land already or not? Are you waiting for something?…we had to wait 2 years..between the 1st visit and the final signature day! Feel free to contact me if you need some help or information, or if you wonder to visit Lisboa or Mação area.
Gutted we did not do this six years ago when we wanted to now we are in the same position with prices running away with panic buyers. Sad but relax and your property will find you!!!

Really useful tips and remminds me of some the hurdles we had when we bought our place here in Spain. If I might add a comment about the borders and neighbours, another hidden problem to be aware of is access rights. Make sure your neighbours don´t have access rights to their land through yours, because there isn´t a direct entry to their land. When we bought our land, we wanted to add a neighbouring plot of woodland and looked up the owner. It turned out to be an elderly man who had inherited the plot and hadn´t actually seen it! We negotiated a price and signed the deeds. After signing, as he was looking through the deeds, we actually saw him physically change colour as he realised that he had right of access to it through our land, so he could have asked for much more. Such is life! 😀

Looked at 40 properties already! I would be losing the will to live. But then I hate shopping, and to me it would be like shopping.
You have some spare ruins and lots of land Sarah, maybe you sell some to Oli & Jana and then you will have goat sitters living right next door 😀
