Thank you all for watching my videos, this episode shows a big visual transformation. I prime the walls using a paint sprayer followed up by back rolling. While it is cold and I have a lot to distract me from this project, I’m hoping to wrap it up in the next couple months. Stay tuned for more.
Thanks again!

As a housewife/mother and landlord: please add some washable sheen to that white!!!!
Hey, just wanted to tell you and the family happy holidays. I feel like I've watched you grow up. I've been watching for a long time. Love to see you grow and prosper.
Why did you roll after spraying? I just spray without rolling, you do need a fixating primer if you spray without rolling.
I get what you mean. We talk about that all the time about how I would love to save as many as I can. But I love the wood trim with white walls. I’m a Sears catalog home historian. Basically the same trim and color style your talking about. Love it.
What a terrific job. Any tenant will be lucky to be in there. F/when you do sell, it will go quickly because you have done it right. The first apartment I had was painted in shades of white. They appeared white, but each room had a different undertone. In that house I can sort of see a wedgewood green undertone throughout the house. I can't wait to see what is next.
Currently painting my house flat white, ripping out and replacing all doors architrave skirting, with plain wood because I love wood and wood doesn't chip… bringing out the grain with Danish oil.
With you on flat matt, Easy to maintain, looking at how much care you've put into this house, I do hope whomever lives there appreciates the attention to quality, from electrics, plumbing, insulation you've given it, and takes care of it… love the lil side porch, if you had a hobby like art painting, it's so light it's perfect.. ditto photography… particularly like the Georgian bar windows… its going to be warm safe and energy efficient for the person lucky enough to call it home. I'd only sell if I needed money to buy another fixer upper… keep capital if you can.
Well done, I've so enjoyed this house renovation… love that you rescue the pre loved… you see what it could be…to me that's worth it all day.
( please excuse the British descriptions of things)
Have a great Christmas 🎄 to you and the family and your Dad always nice to see him helping… and yes simplisafe is in my future but at the moment I'm still renovating x
As someone who has renovated rentals in the white paint color id suggest semigloss throughout the house. It my experience it lasts long and doesnt scuff or hold marks as well. May not be the best for value if you are looking to sell though as it is kinda "cheap" looking. Not sure how to put it. Food for thought tho. It has worked well for my familys rental properties.
House is looking fantastic. Matte finish throughout should be fine, but I do prefer more of a glossy finish in the bathroom.
Dang dude you are such a hard worker. I REALLY admire people like you. Kudos to you… You ROCK!!!
You could do trailers for the long form videos
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Shout out to this man for transforming this house because it was in shambles prior… He worked hard on this house..🎉🎉
Sorry to hear about one of your houses being broken into and tools taken.. I just recently purchased and set up my SimpliSafe network at a house I'm fixing up for myself. Thanks to your advertising in your videos for them, I now have peace of mind that all of my tools, and the tools my dad is letting me borrow to renovate, will be safe. I would recommend setting up your vacant properties with SimpliSafe for added protection!
Do you try the eggshell? It hold up better on the walls
I love the sunporch
So happy your back! It looks great. Now the pretty begins.
Wish we could get a update on the tiny house project
It really is exciting to see this place get to complete and be a livable home.
Always magical, how a coat of primer transform the room and looks complete or more complete.
I would love to have a small home like this.
Great video. Do yourself a favor. Buy a blue tip guard and fine finish low pressure green tips before you spray again. A.k.a. greco "fflp" tips. You can spray at a MUCH lower pressure creating ALOT less overspray. That spray fog in the sunroom was unreal. Wasted material and a bigger mess with the oldschool black tips. FFLP tips are spendy but worth it. I spray on basically every job I do to make time working alone. You can get the tips around 20 bucks cheaper off ebay. Sherwin Williams has them at 70 bucks. Try them, you wont spray again without them.
well merry christmas to you and your family and I will see you next time
You're like a handy man version of James Franco.
That's awesome.
The $9,000 house is coming into its own, thanks to you and to SimpliSafe. Can't wait to see it painted and trimmed out. 🥰
I really wish you would have opened up the side porch to the living room, would have made it much more useable. Your house your floorplan very nice job, it just needs that connection.
This is going to be such a cute little place, I love the high ceilings and it add so much to the look. You should have no problem renting this one out when you are done. Nice job.
Watching an house become an home.
To say what this house was like in the beginning to now is an understatement to your dedication and commitment sir. You have breathed new life back in her and slowly restoring her to her former beautiful self if the word self can be used to describe a house. I have watched each video from the beginning, knowing that you would reach this point. The house does look bigger from the inside now that drywall and primer have been applied. Kudos to you and I wish you and your family a safe, beautiful holiday season and looking forward to seeing you in the new year.
not a pat on the back you're alright.
I wonder if sponsors contact people within YouTube to get more eyes to the videos they sponsor. Like, if you accept a VPN sponsor, would you get more views magically?
This project and others got me through post surgery blues this past December and January. I love seeing the progress.
I agree with a light color for my 1934 home, I didn't like some of the colors they had. I also have lived in apartments most of my adult life or rental houses. They are always beige, tan, or off white. All of which I am sick of. So I decided to go with a light gray for ceilings and walls. Instead of off-white, which is more dirty looking. Then picked one accent wall in some of my rooms. In the living room I used a darker gray behind the tv and around the fireplace. It looks good and touch up is light gray most places. To add color to rooms, I use curtains with the original quarter sawn woodwork (unpainted). That way if we get tired of a color we can change the curtains, but the light grays still works with so many other colors. Our home feels bright and open. With the darker gray wall behind the tv, it is easier to see and the wall not reflecting as much light to compete with th tv. It also demostrates the focal point of the room. I dont know what colors you like, but white works too. Please just dont use off-wight or beige? Beige is like burgandy and brown cars, they make lots of them, but most people wouldnt pick those colors. I think the house is really turnung out well.
You are my inspiration. Been watching you for 6 years. Thanks for sharing
As someone who started painting at 12 years old with my stepfather and also worked for a major paint manufacturer in sales and specification for 15 years, You definitely don't need an additional primer over that PVA in the bathroom. If you think it needs another coat of primer, just do another coat of PVA. Where you'll get your mold resistant and moisture resistant benefits are in the top coat. Use a top coat intended for bathrooms and it'll last.
ive used the mold primer it makes the paint shinner if you miss a spot with it youll be able to see the difference
Looking very good! You do wonderful work.
Did you back charge the drywallers for covering you receptacles?
Every room in my house is a different color. White-on-white just seems very 70s apartment living or hospital to me. But, it's your house and it's looking great. Having just finished a basement myself, I"m all too aware of how much time and effort the work you're doing requires and I salute your tenacity and work ethic.
lol! have all the ATTUIDED you want bud. you are working very hard, appreciated.
The house looks great, thank you for going through your thought process. My 2 cents: I like satin sheen for a home interior. The only advice I can give is don't buy the cheapest paint. Looking forward to the next video!
I used to paint every room a different color, but now that I've started getting into rentals and entire house remodels I've switched to painting everything white. It just looks so fresh, clean, and modern. I also do dark kitchen cabinets (and furniture if it's something I'm furnishing) for some contrast.
I am done with you'all……. That just left me rolling on the floor. After 14 hours straight, I thought you were functioning pretty well. And it was a really, really great paint job!
And I totally agree with you, those old houses are amazingly beautiful and very much worth restoring.
I love your outlook on bringing old houses back into good repair to avoid new housing additions on farmland.
I feel like I've seen a magnet based tool for finding and marking out those accidentally covered up electrical boxes.
