interesting takes! for me the biggest motivator is anytime i get a raise or any extra income! i intentionally keep my living expenses the same so all of that extra income is pure profit to invest!
i do agree that figuring out a way to get housing for free is key! we're currently working on that part of the equation!
You guys were/are such a great team. Most ladies would look down on their significant other (unfortunately) for dumpster diving. The market goes up and down, so your portfolio balance is difficult to use for motivation. I use my dividend income stream to stay motivated. My first year I collected $64.00 in dividends. My dividend income number for this year now has a comma in it. In all fairness, I am primarily a dividend investor, but the income stream going up every year keeps me motivated. Use whatever works, that's the secret.
