Hard work and enjoy life! Living OFF GRID!! Clearing an other part of our rural land in Portugal.

Slowly we are moving towards autumn, the rain is coming more often and the mornings are really cooling down.

I enjoy our beautiful valley so much. The olive trees are more and more closer to be harvested, so exited about that. I have no idea how much we are going to harvest but that is ok, we learn every day and that is the best part of our new life here off grid in central Portugal.

If we are not building we are preparing to do so and to keep ourselves busy we of course clear some land. One part of our valley had not been cleared yet so that was a beautiful job to do this week. I learned a new skill, working with the chainsaw, part one, hehe 😉 And so we grow and learn but most importantly we get some work done.

I hope you enjoy this week video ❤️

Thank you for supporting us by your encouragements and wonderful tips and advices 🥰

  1. As you were talking about your olives. I have just watched Frankie off grid latest video and they were talking and showing their olives with some interesting info which might help you x

  2. I see that somebody already told you about Nick from project Portugal. He is a great source of information.
It’s such a great sense of accomplishment when you clear land. I can see how excited you and your husband are. I will be praying that your lumber makes it to your village so you can begin your decking for the yurt. Are you going to build a big yurt so you can have a second floor? I’ve seen that done in the past where people have put the children’s bedrooms on the second floor.

  3. You may already know this but there are quite a few you tubers living around the central Portugal. There is a couple who have quit a large olive grove they are ‘OK Portugal’ they have done quite a bit about there olive harvest. Which may help you.
Also Nick from ‘ Project Portugal’ he tells about the caterpillars that nest in the pine trees the Processionary caterpillars that can be harmful to animals and people. I dont want to alarm you just to let you know.
Love you video and seeing how you are getting on. Dutch is so cute. 👋
