  1. Where I live (Lugo, Galicia) I think there is a 'vermouth culture' growing in the recent years. There are many new Galician brands, even in Lugo's coast villages even if here we don't have a wine or liquor tradition like other regions of the community.

  2. Casa Toni? Nahhhh. The food is not as good as it is advertised. I was lucky to go there recently with very few patrons present and almost all of the warm and cold dishes on offer. Good service but I didn't enjoy the food. And I was hungry at the time!

  3. answering to one of the questions , if you could recomend a similar channel for france, there is a great one, amusing and very thorough named LES FRENCHIES. They are a very nice couple with , lots of tips , mainly for Paris , but excellent anyway.

  4. Hi sir, thanx for your informations about traveling
I would like to make u a question if you can give me an advice. I have to travel in november to barcelona,my old passport expired in September and i got a new,but all my traveling stamps are there,do they see my travel history with the new passport? Or i have to take with me the old one too to show them ?

  5. I agree about Spaniards not listening very much, but lived in the UK this happens too soooo muuuch. There are many times they just assume things about Spain, ask you super biased questions, you debunk them, and 5 minutes into the conversation arises again like you never talked about it with them. What I'm trying to say by this is, maybe these people already decided you know nothing about Cuenca regardless of your answer

  6. Hey guys, thanks for taking my wife's and my kids question 🙂 Hope you're recovering well James.

On another note, I am about 3/4 of the way through a book called "The New Spaniards" by John Hooper. Not sure if you have heard of it, but a really fascinating and informative read about Spain's transition from Franco-era through the mid-2000's. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to know more about modern Spanish culture/history/politics.

  7. My husband and I were in Spain all month of September, went to Madrid, Las Rozas where my brother lives and we went to Cuenca stayed at the parador you guys stayed at and it was great! Went to Valencia, then spent most of our time in Altea and surrounding towns. Loved it! We are still planning on retiring there. From us when do you think we should start paperwork if we are in a two year timeline? Take care both of you and of course Lucia..❤😊😊

  8. I might be wrong. But i fail to see how immigrants driving up rent prices. We moved to Madrid a year ago, we have seen that certain agencies are setup for foreigners and yes they ask for more money, but often there is no other way to get a place in the beginning as you are not settled in this country and they would setup expectations that are suits immigrants. That is not fault of any immigrants, rather a business modell. After one year we are moving house and finding another place was painful. Sometimes even with permanent 'fijo' contract that is few months old (passed probation) is not enough, we did get some hissing comments on the phone because we did not have that contract for multiple years. (We are talking about cheap 1 bedrom flats for couple, both working)

  9. I love that I had no idea that your fly was down until you told us! The best thing this channel has going for it is how natural you all are. People recognize and appreciate authenticity. Keep it up!

  10. I'm a Kiwi, I came here via Mark Wiens. I have not yet subscribed because I don't yet understand your channel. I am not yet convinced it is worth 10-15 minutes of my attention every 2-3 days.
