  1. Some of the planning you describe is programmed to fulfill an agenda, which is good (Nehemiah), but must also be wrought in prayer and leave space for intrusion of the Holy Spirit to shape the plan.

  2. Far too many ministers have immediate family members who are no longer actively practicing Adventists. Clergy can start setting example of establishing the family altar. Joyce and I have found reading through the Conflict of the Ages series and found new insights and recall / reinforced other beliefs afresh. We are into Desire of Ages now at a chapter per day. Finished PP and PK. Amazed at how much EGW incorporated Scripture into her writings, pulling related passages together.

  3. IOutreach requires reaching into the world of people where they are – mingle (MH 143 and 100). Too many of our pastors hide within the walls of the churches and wait for people to come to them. Get involved in your communities without an overt objective to make people think and act like me. When people needs are rdiscerned, espected and met, they are attracted to the faith motivation that prompts that kindness and thoughtfulness. Currently, I have aweekly community Bible study going of from 7-13 people and am working with veterans. (Could use some more coins for veterans.

  4. Totally unrelated, but what is the status of emeritus credentials from the GC. Nearly two years ago, Mario promised I was approved on the list for renewal of my emeritus ordained credential, and would have them before he left office. I understand the delay until the 2022 GC session in St. Louis, but six months have passed. The local law enforcement agencies require current credentials before I can return to that aspect of chaplaincy. I am currently working as a volunteer healthcare chaplain at the local hospital (Sundays and Wednesdays), etc. Please follow up and make it happen.
