Hi Mark. I would like to recommend that you get rid of the tall plants near the vegetable garden and behind the compost corner. It is a very strong plant, which spreads underground and conquers areas. It is very difficult to exterminate it manually by uprooting, but it is also resistant to most chemical substances. It is a very common plant in the Mediterranean region and we also suffer from it a lot here. It is very advisable not to use it in compost because every part of the stem produces new branches of growth. The best burn it to produce bio-char.

If you want/have to protect your solar panels from heavy winds you can build another surface from the top edge of the panels with opposite slope, so it basicly becomes a whole roof. So the wind cannot come under the panel. Only mention this cause I ve heard other channels gettin big damage on their solar systems…the material can be anything …
