  1. If you want a smooth surface dust a small amount of plain dry cement to the surface and finish smooth. If you sponge it out, generally that brings the sand/aggriate to the surface since your taking off a minute amount of cement. Just a little FYI.

  2. English is confusing – even to "native" speakers. Welcome to the English language. LOL.
TOO wet means: "extremely" or "more" and "also." (So: the cement was TOO wet). Dutch: Het is TE nat. TE droog, enz.
TO means "motion" and "also" like in "to go" (Going TO the store. Are you coming, TOO?). Ik ga NAAR de winkel. Jij OOK?
PS – You're doing great, accomplishing something every day … more than most of us just sitting on our bum, watching you work. Akira is so into you, observing your every move. Funny how thoroughly she examined your new "toy" several times. Cute.

  3. Great work Jasper, will you plaster it after as it will leave it nice and smooth then. You are getting there it is a shame you have not got your roof on yet and the rain would not come in on the floor and you would be able to work on the inside on wet days, keep on going it is tough when you are on your own too. p.s it helps to water the brick before cementing them too.
