We returned to Portugal from a trip to the US. As you know, there is a strike going on through the end of the month. Oddly, SEF, the organization that runs immigration, made sure EU passport holders entered the country in minutes. For tourists and foreigners, we waited over 4 hours to gain entry into the country. Way to roll out the red carpet for people wanting to spend money in your country! It seems odd that SEF would target people who would actually bring money into the country to help the economy. Every year they strike, and nothing happens. This was super frustrating and I hope with the end of the month comes an end to the strike. My question is, does SEF ever come out winning by adopting this strategy?
