On this Vlog Episode we take 2 trips to Faial Island; a 20 minute ferry ride from Pico Island. Laura needs to extend her tourist visa to over 90 days.

We had an appointment with the SEF office; we were treated very well and professional. This is the closest Government office to Pico that can take care of tourist visa extensions. First trip was for the appointment; than 2 weeks later we went back to pick up the visa.

On our second trip we also stayed overnight on Faial at the 4 start Hotel do Canal; highly recommend this hotel. Carlos’s aunt had her 88th birthday; we had a wonderful b’day dinner with my aunt and cousins at an amazing grill restaurant called Restaurant Atletico. We also had a drink at famous Peter Cafe Sport; popular with the locals and tourists. This cafe is rated top 50 in the world and is over 100 years old.

On this video we also take you on a hike along the south coast in an area called Silveira/Fonte; only 10 minute drive from the seaside village of Lajes on Pico Island Azores.
