Coja is a lovely little rural town in Portugal, full of character. We found a really cheap campsite next to a nice river there and decided to stay for a few days.

It was great to take a break from all the recent driving we had been doing. Summertime in Europe was coming to an end and this was the perfect place to spend our last few days in Portugal before making the long road trip back to the UK.

While we were there we thought we would take you on a quick tour of our campervan. This is our home when we travel around the UK and Europe and has been since our son Leo was 5 weeks old. When we travel to countries by plane, sadly we have to leave her behind.

We also show you how to make our easy sugar free, non dairy banana ice cream, which has become a firm favourite with Leo recently (and us too).
We found an old basketball court within the campsite and Rob got all excited as that was his favourite sport when he was a kid. Sadly he didn’t have a basketball to hand, so he had to make do with Leo’s mini beach ball. Apparently though, according to him, he’s ‘still got it’…
Leo was able to practice on his balance bike and is getting really good now! It won’t be long until he’s ready for the real thing..

This was a really nice place to spend our last few days in Portugal.
On the last day we packed the campervan, filled her tank up with water, paid the campsite bill and set off for England with big smiles on our faces.
