Escaping Australia for Brazil, does it add up? Doing your research before you take the leap of faith and migrating is so important. Migrating is so very different to visiting a place. There are a few reasons for this. One is that you are in holiday mode and everything is new and fresh and seems a whole world away from the troubles you have at home. The other reasons are that you are not confronted with the immediate needs of living day-to-day.
Most people will have a meltdown after they migrate. Commonly known as culture shock. The more foreign a culture is to you, the greater the culture shock. If you have nothing around you that is familiar, the risk of culture shock high.
One thing to take into consideration when looking at a location to move to is the GPD of the country per capita. If you come from a country that has a higher GDP per capita and move to a country with lower ratio, you could be in for a shock.
