The European Commission declared that the EU COVID-19 vaccination certificate would be acknowledged for nine months prior to a booster dose is obligated.

The European Commission stated that the European Union COVID-19 vaccination certificate will have a validity period of nine months from the end of the pre-booster vaccination treatment commencing from 1 February 2022. EU Member States can carry on to apply their own entrance obligations, including quarantine rules and added testing obligations.

The European Commission founded an obligatory acceptance period of nine months (270 days) for utilization of the EU COVID-19 vaccination certificate for intra-EU travel. After nine months, European Union nationals will obligate a booster dose for the vaccination certificate to stay valid in EU member states.
