In the first two draws of the year, only PNP applicants were invited by the IRCC for Canadian immigration.
On January 19, Canada carried out a recent Express Entry draw inviting 1,036 immigration applicants to apply for permanent residency.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) only invited Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) applicants. On this basis, the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score cut-off was 745. PNP applicants acquire an automated 600 points counted to their score when they accept their nomination, which is why the score appears high.
Since September all Express Entry draws has been only for PNP candidates. September 14 was the last time Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates were invited.
Until now in 2022, IRCC has invited 1,428 PNP applicants in total via the Express Entry. Usually The CRS cut-off remained in the 700-800 range during the previous 10 PNP-specific EE draws. The recent cut-off of 745 was lower than the 808 CRS obligations for the first draw of this year on January 5.
