  2. If you are a Londoner and book well in advance you can get much cheaper prices for musicals. Just seen Hamilton for £20 – limited view & booked well in advance > 3 months. Also most of all museums are excellent and FREE. Lisbon is great ( I'm from Lisbon living in London) IF (BIG IF) you don't have to work- otherwise I prefer London (less bureaucracy, better wages) . You never get bored in London and it's a great city to entertain children and teens – great green spaces too (for a major city)

You guys are living my dream life!! 😻😻😻As one of your FIRE disciples, I have a question for y’all – did you take into account the amount of children you would want to have? Is there a cost of living adjustment for each additional child?

  15. As a Portuguese, I've been many times to London as tourist and on business. I simply hate London. It's the place in the world where I feel like a number. Crappy service, very expensive hotels and food, and too many people and tourists. I would particularly hate it for business trips.

  21. I AM surprised you haven't visited North Africa even though it is very close. Go to Morocco, Algeria, or Tunisia especially Morocco cause there is a direct flight from Lisbon to Casablanca

  22. Next time you're in London, check out the Blackfriar Pub in London (near the Blackfriars Tube stop). It's an awesome old building, and good food. (It might look fancy inside, but I'm still partial to the Fish 'n Chips, haha.)

  28. Fun fact portugal introduced tea to England
    The tickets from lisbon to london if you get them 1 month ahead are around 50 euros so pretty easy to travel, the only place more affordable is to spain from here
