Beijos e abraços,
Carissa, Iwan, Frankie & Albi

Carissa, Iwan & Frankie decided one night over a bottle of wine that moving from North Wales to Portugal would be a good idea. Within a month they were on the road to Portugal to find the perfect piece of land to call their new home. We picked up Albi the cat along the way. Subscribe to follow our journey as we turn an old stone barn into our home, and learn the ropes of looking after a piece of land to make an abundant garden and one day, our very own winery.

  1. Found your channel yesterday and really enjoying it so far. Feels like you're making progress so fast on the land. I'm looking forward to how it will involve in the future! Thanks a lot for sharing! 😊
Also here is a drawing idea: the mimosa tree seems to fit your style with its fine leaves and blossoms. 🌿🌿

  2. So lovely to see you reunited with frankie, she definitely missed you! We are in Wales at the moment while hubby finishes our motorhome so we can come to Portugal. We're in Prestatyn and while we love the beach too, we also needed hats and big coats when we got there! 🤣 Hope your car gets fixed soon, sent you a kofi to add to the fund xx

  3. I can sympathize about all your van and car trouble. I bought a new (second hand!!) van here in Portugal in September and 1 month later it broke down and needed quite a costly repair. Then on Christmas Eve eve, someone drove into me. Dealing with the insurance was a nightmare and I had to wait 2 months to get it back. Maybe there is something in the stars above Portugal causing car chaos!!!

  4. Another great vlog, thanks for the plug for my channel. I'll send more tools once I've cleaned out my workshop.
Nick might be able to fix/change the bit holder on the dewalt impact, when I checked they were about 10GBP.
Sorry to hear about your car, keep your chins up. Each day is a test.

  5. Clarissa I’m wondering how much you would charge to do a map of Canada for me, I tried to ask in Etsy shop but it wouldn’t work lol…could be cus I’m old and not doing it right, but I love your work!

  6. The new chicken habitat looks a good build, you and uncle Nick work so well together. (And a little birdy thought you might paint a different flower on each of his bee boxes, Carissa 😏… .) Very glad you got to get home to Wales. Very sorry your new car needs repairs 😔. The dream you pursued and are realizing is still absolutely worth any darned speedbump the cosmos tries to test you with. With each other and snuggly Albi, João, and Sausage Goggie Frankie at your side, speedbumps are… meh. 😉

  7. Well poo about your car. Hope you are able to get it repaired soon.
Glad to see you were finally able to get home for a visit.
It’s so awesome how Nick and Andrea are such wonderful neighbors/friends.

  8. A thought for you. Where you live camellias will grow exceptionally well. You could grow your own tea! You have the seeds. It would be fun to create your own Portugal tea. Enjoy!
