Are you saying you need to have a home for 6 months in Portugal before they come?
Thanks for this video! Are affordable cars readily available? Do we need an EU driver's license?
I'm looking to relocate here soon is there anyone who is moving to Portugal soon and looking to connect.
How are you making an income in a country where you dont speak the language?
Jamila did you get your hair braided in PT ? Are there salons that can cope with curly black hair ?
Now?enjoy!
Far too much bureaucracy to get things done In Portugal, not to mention fees they'll charge you for every bit of paper.
I wish you good luck cos' you're gonna need.
Cinnamon where is the SEF website? I don't see it pinned anywhere in the comments or the description box?? I would to see what Jamilia was talking about. Thank you!!
Indeed. The comment on experiencing respect and just having a better experience as a black woman abroad. I feel the same as Cinnamon each time I return to the US… and you know how Dulles and JFK are hahahaha
I've also traveled extensively and feel better in other countries than I do in America. So happy to hear you say the same thing
Nice video, I’m Portuguese/ Cape Verdean and my aunt lives there she’s employed at the parliament/ government.
I sometimes think about living there and I’m pretty fluent in the language. Great place to retire and beautiful beaches and good food.
Question: Did you guys (Cinnamon and Jamila) get travel insurance when you applied for your visa or were you able to wait and get health insurance in Portugal? Thx ;D
Hi, does Jamila have a YouTube channel or insta? Would also like to follow her journey. Thanks
What I found in my travel is once they know you are from US, prices increase in most places, get a local to assist.
Welcome to Portugal 🇵🇹❤️!
I hope you enjoy and feel very happy on our country and feel also portuguese from in your soul one day ❤️!
How is the political climate in Lisbon, Portugal? Will the cost of healthcare remain low for a period of time.? or will it be subject to change within the next year?
Thank you, both of you, Alex
Hi Cinnamon – did you or Jamila do the short-term or long-term visa for independent work. on the VFS website it lists both (https://vistos.mne.gov.pt/pt/vistos-nacionais/informacao-geral/tipo-de-visto#resid%C3%AAncia-perman%C3%AAncia-superior-a-1-ano) subsequently- and assuming you want to actually live in portugal more than 1 year – if you applied for the long stay independent work was the requirement still to show 6 months of accommodation ?
Thank you so much ladies .. enlightening convo ! … sending it on to some friends who may have interest … we thought about Portugal … will have to research those apartment prices tho … It is way cheaper here in Spain..
Hi Driven Spice, Did your visa show your appointment date with SEF or just the link to SEF office, and then you had to contact them? Thx
@Jamila– what is the name of the insurance for $35?
Bem vindas! O português está óptimo!
Now learn Portuguese.
Thanks for the information! Jamila, what is the name of your health insurance please?
