Caniço (Canico de baixo) is a coastal town on the Portuguese island of Madeira.
On this 4k walk, we take in the Quinta Splendida Botanical Garden, with hundreds of different plant species, we also pass many Canico restaurants, the Canico hotel area and finish at Canico promenade, close to The Lido Galomar Bathing Complex.
Also close by Canico town is the Cristo Rei Viewpoint, which offers ocean views. The Garajau Cable Car descends to a beach at the base of the cliff.
