Praia da Califórnia Beach is located inside a bay in the center/eastern side of Sesimbra town. It presents a very long sand of about 1 Km.
The waters are calm. During high tide the west area that comprises the whole Avenida 25 de Abril until the Forte de Santiago1 gets shortened into a thin strip of sand.
At east, the beach is bounded by a group of rocky formations.
