Why didn't Panama make the list? I've been to many of the countries you mentioned. I'd like to hear your reasoning. Perhaps a follow-on video of overrated countries in this region.

A US citizen living in Costa Rica. I have been visiting for many year and living here for 3 full time. I am in the process of getting my pension residency. One thing most don't know is if you live here for 7 years and you are over 65 after that time you can avoid some major citizenship issues like the Spanish Language requirement. Just some things I have learned that I did not know when I moved here. My top reason in picking Costa Rica is the people. For the most part very friendly and helpful people. Another great thing is the healthy lifestyle is very easy to maintain. Downside, it is more expensive than these other countries.

URUGUAY DOESNOT DESERVE 2nd PLACE :For naturalized legal citizens, the nationality of origin will still apply as Uruguay currently doesn't give nationality to naturalized citizens, which may mean a visa is still required when travelling. Uruguay has no concept of "true naturalization": you can be only "full Uruguayan" by birth. If you're naturalized then you will be Uruguayan for all intents and purposes domestically in Uruguay, but your Uruguayan passport will still show your original citizenship and therefore to most other countries you are not really Uruguayan. I believe it is the only country in the world to have this weird definition. To me it defeats the purpose of naturalization in the first place.
