A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE – Portuguese House Renovation

We are in the middle of renovating our house in an abandoned Portuguese village. Currently we are working on the mini rebuild. In this episode i show you a different view of my daily work with the dogs. Also you see a little buit more about my life in the ghost town. I tried to clean some more tiles, but then the ‘neighbor’ came by and needs some help. In the next episode i will probably clean some more tiles and do some more sending on the mini rebuild.

My name is Jasper and i bought a house in a Portuguese ghost town. Together with my dogs Zoey& Akira we show you the rebuild of our house en what it is like living the daily life in Central Portugal.

  1. more information for you if it helps in the future, there are two lakes that feed paulo`s house and our old house, had problems with it some years ago maria and my husband sorted it, actually gravity fed 😉

  2. Hi Jasper, love the walks with you and the girls. It's good to mix and mash up the route you take each morning. Thankyou for the flower pictures, rock Rose so pretty, makes me smile. Chores still have to be done. It's amazing how mush fluff gets in to the laptop. Cleaning is a must….enjoyed your video have a good day, stay safe. Helping neighbours and friends is what makes us better humans. 😊

  3. Everytime I look at your walks I never see a tree that you could buy from a farmer for timber. There is a sawmill in my village Grocinas you should check it out it does not appear on Google maps.

  4. Really enjoying these daily videos! The plentiful white-flowering shrub is Cistus ladanifer, commonly called rock rose in English (although it’s not a rose), and jara here in Spain. The leaves are fragrant and can be used for perfumery and medicinally; they also make a nice incense when dried. I use jara hydrolate on my face. It’s supposed to be good for wrinkles, which I’m not so sure about, but it definitely smells and feels nice.

  5. Enjoyed the walk, as usual. Not boring at all. Thanks for zeroing in on those "white" wild flowers along the path, showing their beautiful design close-up. The gift of beauty. Life in your ghost village is so peaceful compared to up north. Enjoy it while you can. 🐛
