Today we are visiting two Castles – Pena Palace in Sintra and Castelo de S Jorge in Lisbon.

Pena Palace is a Romanticist Castle in Sintra, on the Portuguese Riviera.
The beautiful & colourful castle stands on top of a hill in the Sintra mountains above the town.
The palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the seven wonders of Portugal.

Going to this Castle is very simple from Lisbon. It was about 45 minutes train ride from Lisbon, that will took us to Sintra town, then from there we did a small tram to go to the Castle.

This beautiful red and yellow fairytale castle is definitely one of the best things to do in Lisbon.
