Just walked the Caminho Portugues (again)13-21/3 from Porto via Vila do Conde to the central way. I also stayed at Casa Fernanda several times and also now.
And as always an extra ordinary experience.
The registrering in the pilgrims office need to be improved. As I arrived just around @ I was the only pilgrim in there, I was greeted by a grumpy, older man who grumply said I should scan the QR code and fill out the form so I could get a number.
I chose english but all drop down menus were in spanish!!
So there is a need for improvment of the form and the reception you get when you arrive.
As I was the only pilgrim I only waited 10-15 minutes and the reception inside was more friendly.

Ate there in 2019, good choices if you like foodcourt food, was a bit empty when I was there . Fernanda, oh yes the best place to hang out. Best come with a song from your Country, I was stumped for a Canadian song. lol

I really liked my Camino de la costa in June 2021 and it was Mario I think who sailed me over from Caminhas
Next time I will go to Casa Fernanda from Viana ( I heard of this place since I discovered the Camino forum!!!)

Albertinho looks like the volunteer at the pilgrims office in September 2018 when my sister and I checked in there. Looking forward to doing another camino soon.

Mario smuggled four of us across to A Guarda this morning. 6eu each. Just as Albertinho described. A jolly guy. He said the ferry is kaput. There was one man at the ferry perhaps for maintenance, but no sign of service.

Ivar, Is that the food court in the Fresh Market? Or is it separate? Thanks
