A smaller garden does not mean a shorter list. [being a busy bee]

This week we have been very busy! After working in the garden for an afternoon I was a little overwhelmed by all the small jobs that needed doing, so it was time to make a list. In this video I get about half of it done. I mulched the potato bed, planted, weeded, pruned, and mulched some more. In between all this we also caught two swarms, both in inconvenient places.

0:00 Intro
2:30 The list
4:09 Pruning the berry bushes

8:48 Mulching the potato patch
12:27 Tackling the pumpkin patch

15:59 Swarm in the shed
18:09 Mulching pumpkin patch
19:19 Pruning our new pear tree

New here? My name is Lea and I live with my partner Maarten, our toddler Puck and baby Bo on our land in Central Portugal. We left the rat race in the Netherlands in 2018 and moved south in our old campervan. Two years ago we bought land in Portugal that had been abandoned for several decades. After lots of hard work we now live in a beautiful yurt and keep ourselves busy growing our own vegetables as well as producing olive oil, wine and honey on a small scale. This channel documents all the different jobs we have to do, and sometimes some nice footage of this beautiful country we now call home.

  1. We were amazed to see the videos of San Sebastian de Garabandal in the Cantabrian mountains in northern Spain basically isolated for centuries, living on pastures and herding livestock, sheep some cows/ milk and Cheese i would imagine…Another way of living, from a long time ago but amazing miracles in 1960- 65
