An abandoned hotel in Vidago, Portugal

At the beginning of its activity, the hotel had more or less 100 luxuriously furnished rooms with direct sunlight, piped water and electric light (remember we are in 1 918). On the first floor of the hotel was installed the bathhouse with showers, alkaline and carbo-gaseous immersion baths, and for cleaning baths, a cabinet for hand or vibrating massages. The Hotel was partially destroyed on March 19, 1967 due to a large fire.

The structure of the hotel is still standing but it is left in ruins. From the outside and with a careful visit inside, we can see very well that that it must have been an enormous and imposing edifice at the time. No restoration or recovery has ever been made since the fire. Some say the owner has passed away and God knows where the heir could be. Despite all this, the building maintains its soul and its mysteries.
