Abandoned Hotel in the AZORES | SAO MIGUEL | PORTUGAL | 12 Month Travel (VLOG Ep. 42)

How to describe Sao Miguel in the Azores, Portugal? We like to call it New Zealand, Hawaii and Jurassic Park all in one. It was the most magical place that we visited in Europe.

Places we visited on the island of Sao Miguel (Azores) that we recommend:
– Hotel Abandonado – Monte Palace: The Abandoned Hotel
– Sete Cicades: Blue and Green Lakes
– Ponta Da Ferraria: Natural Hot Pool in the Ocean
– Miradouro da Grota do Inferno: A bit cloudy when we visited
– Miradouro da Ponta do Sossego: Meant to be great on sunrise
– Lagoa Congro: Quick walk to a peaceful lake
– Mulher Liquor Factory
– Gorreana Tea Factory

  1. This is probably the coolest thing I've seen in a long time. That open view is gorgeous. That graffiti art is outstanding as well such talent. I don't know about that carpeting though…and that spiral staircase freaks me out a bit. Ha! Thirty degrees or not that water looked wonderful!

  2. The Azores looks beautiful! That was a great tip about the rental car! And I would’ve love that tasting room. It’s nothing like trying out the local beers, wines or alcohol! And it looks like you had a lovely hike!

  3. I thoroughly enjoyed this, especially with not being able to travel as I normally do. I visited Portugal once while I lived in Rota, Spain. Beautiful and exciting journey! Thanks for sharing. Stay safe! Peace and many blessings to you both! 😊

  4. This is actually one of my must see places!! Was planning this trip at the beginning of the year then….. I love how you shot this video 🥰 the views are all just breathtaking ❤️ would really love to be on a beach somewhere at the moment ✨ great video👌🏿

  5. Wow! This is amazing! We really love to explore abandoned buildings. Even if this was one is quite destroyed the structure is cool, and also the graffiti and the view seems to give it a special atmosphere. We have never been to Azores but your video makes us want to go. Hopefully we can go while the abandoned hotel is still there! If you travel in Bologna, Italy we can give you a few suggestions of some really awesome abandoned buildings!

  6. We don't drive so it's always public transport for us, and mostly we don't mind – but occasionally do we wish we had a way to get to places more conveniently. We love exploring abandoned buildings too – always quite interesting! It's such a beautiful place all around too. 🙂

  7. Love you guys! This is awesome and very informative. We are currently traveling too and have terrible wifi but we are looking forward to watching yout content when wifi is stronger! We have subscribed and bit the bell 😁
