Hi, This is Si,
Not sure if you can tell how stressful I am,
I haven’t been surfing enough because without a car, it’s hard to get to different surf spots.
And when I dont surf enough, I get super grumpy.
When I am sad, I cannot deliver my happiness to you, my dear viewers
So I have been looking for a car everyday on and offline.
Renting a car in Portugal is a hassle if you are from America,
Because all the affordable options are manual.
So I told myself to challenge the American Asian cannot drive stereotype and try to learn manual.
I mean yes, I guess at the end of the day, took me 2 hours to move from one parking spot to the other parking spot (100m) apart, I think Yes, I can do this, but probably not in a town with that many hills. So We drove down to Alentjo to check out the Camp in the south.
So I ask my camp mate, Casper, the most mature person In our friend group to go to Lisbon with me to pick up the car since i don’t know how to drive manual. He thought it was a date so it was quite funny. The most amazing thing happens, we got an automatic car by accident.
