ARE WE GOING TO MOVE TO PUERTO GALARA – WEIGHING THE PROS AND CONS – IS IT RIGHT FOR MY FAMILY

After spending a month in Puerto Galera checking on the cost of living, I have put together this video weighing the pros and cons of of moving my family to the area.

  1. I agree with you. Puerto Galera is a nice place to visit but not to stay. My fiancée has worked there for 16 years and is looking forward to move back to Calapan city. I will split my time in Calapan city & Baguio where I have a condo.

  2. Hi Philly, thanks for another great video. I`ve got family moving out to the Philippines this year and we`re all watching everything we can and soaking up all the info you so kindly provide. The question I have as an old bloke is ¬what about public toilets¬…. Where do you go????? Keep on posting and we`ll keep watching. Thank you again, much love from France.

  3. One thing that never seems to get talked about is, how good the highland in angeles city is. No typhoons or flooding. The worst was pinatubo which was terrible but 30 years ago.

  4. Ho brian and lot lot sounds great and a beautiful place to stay permanent. Schools jeepneys going to bigger towns and I know there's loverly places to see and visit. Mc donalds and jolliebee are great .but yeah there not the be all only four kids but good restaurant food are nice video and I hope you chose what you want to do and where you want to move to there always going to be there and scuba diving is great I loved all the videos you did on your. Squbadiving video is awesome and so cool there is plenty of time to enjoy loverly places like portable gulaira. It's nice to move from big city's and check out these loverly beautiful places enjoying walking and looking around looking some thing will come up and maybe you might buy land and that's what we did in sogod north of cebu its loverly up there but we will check it out more while we build or when we build . Love your videos brian and lot lot great videos and your lives are great to its good to catch up and listerning to what's happening in the philippines maraming salamat

  5. Brian looks like a good idea to move but it is also worth checking out Dumaguete and the surrounding area. I've been to many places in 🇵🇭 and I must say I love that area. APO island, Siquijor,Bohol, Panglo and Cebu. Gritter man loves this place too. Great school and university hospitals etc 👍

  6. Not to deter anyone from that area but also keep in mind the row row to Puerto Galera does not run all the time, but has become better. You will still find yourself driving to/from Calapan to catch the row row there. Puerto Galera also experiences frequent brown outs, many more than Angeles City. A generator there is a very good investment. Getting parts for your car normally requires a trip to Manila. Only minor parts are available. Any work outside routine maintenance will be a trip to Manila. You also don’t have hassle free access to a major airport.

  7. Very interesting points Brian. I see Puerto Galara as a place I would have a vacation home, but not a permanent place. Hospital, Pharmacies, Doctors are key for me. Would probably by a place, then rent it out for the months I would not use it. But all depends of your incomes. Thank you for sharing. My Filipina wife and I are watching your videos daily.

  8. Brian,I moved to Baguio for my childrens education 10 years ago which was a great because there are so many universities.
It was a fantastic choice for me.
It is very westernized but not sleezy like Angeles.
Baguio city is very clean and it’s organized with fantastic hospitals.
Location is good, I am 1 hour from the beach in la union or Pangasinan, Manila is 4 hours now the expressway is complete.
If you love motorcycles then is a Great places to ride your motorcycle..

  9. Puerto Galera looks like a good vacation visit but not to live year round. You get island fever staying at nice places but not practical to live there. I met my Filipina in USA 😂. I’m learning the culture and wanting to visit Philippines one day.

  10. Hey, you didn't just leave them a sack of rice and a big can of sardines, y'all left them with their cellphones, that's all they wanted anyway. LOL LOL LOL. How anyone can think you guys are not concerned about the girls is an idiot. Glad you made it back safely and had a great time. I look forward to seeing the girls getting to go there with you guys, and how they will react to diving. Good topic and tips for people.
