Historically she is correct. Her attitude, and attempt to minimize the level of inhumanity and the effects that still haunt the descendants of slaves on this side of the globe up until right now is disturbing to say the least. I do think that we need to focus less on people like her who are able to reap the harvest of a community that invests in their own and focus more on becoming a people who support and love our own communities, rebuilding our families, pooling our resources, and not putting the next person down if we are ever to come out of a defensive and victim based narrative. This way we may stand a chance at developing into a community that has self and mutual respect, better family structure, and beneficial distribution of our enormous buying power.
