Just a little correction:
Natives of the land we now call Brazil were “bad slaves”, they refused to be slaves so the Portuguese of that age gave up on enslaving them. However, African tribes enslaved each other and would often sell their slaves to the Portuguese. Yes, Portugal contributed the most to that unfortunate situation by making it “mainstream”, however the Portuguese of that time were often reluctant of “making” slaves. Not for moral reasons but because Portugal had a population of less than 2 million people and couldn’t control all of their territories if they were all against them.
For the most part Portugal had a merchant-like vision while exploring. Trades and expanding Catholicism were priorities.
Just wanted to point that out but great video and we obviously aren’t proud of the slaves trades of the past 🙁
Awesome as always ❤❤
Amazing how far reaching the Portuguese empire was! Portugal held onto the coastal city of Goa in India until the 1960’s
Idk if you filmed this before your neighbor was a duck, but I hope you feel better ☺☺
my country 😀
I was waiting for this since you mentioned it in the live 🕖
That californian accent is like a key that unlocks my sleep.
