I had questions about where to go shoping for groceries in Coimbra. So I figured I would take you around the neighborhood to see some of the places you can get food in Coimbra.
There are some fantastic places to grab your fruits and vegetables almost on every single corner. There are supermercados where you can get more difficult to find foods too. If you want a roasted chicken you will find a roaster nearby.
I didn’t video the butchers but there are butchers all over the baixa too. It slipped my mind as I do not eat meat at home as a rule.
You can also find most of your needs at the Municipal Mercado. It is just up the hill from the picturesque Santa Cruz Monastery.

Hello from southern Alberta Canada! I plan on retiring near Coimbra in about 3 years when I turn 55. I'm very curious on meat prices there. I'm used to buying the whole pig and half cows to bring my prices down. Hence my 3 freezers.
