Hi Guys! Welcome to this weeks video,

After being away in Canada for 6 months, we are finally back to our second home.. Pico Island. On this video we share with you our first full day back to the middle of the Atlantic.

Come with us as we get reacquainted with some of our familiar spots, sites, sounds and feels of island life. We also take a drive to check up on our island rustic house, to see how the renovations are coming along.

  2. Wow you guys made me cry. How I miss my island of São Miguel. I live in California for 38 years. I’ve been back to São Miguel twice. Last time was in 2018 and we got to visit pico and we walked that same path by the ocean. Love your channel. It’s like a little bit of home away from home.

Alo Carlos and Laura nice to see you back im from Terceira I was there last July and I was there 2019 for 2 weeks last year I was there for 3 weeks this year im going to California in May I have lots of relatives there but for sure 2023 will be Terceira after a long winter you end to go somewhere warm I live in mississauga hope you guys have a good time and eat good food all the best

  15. Have yall run into material issues on the island for example new windows right now are at anywhere from a 2 to 6 month or longer lead time doors are 2-3 months maybe more by now lead time.

  16. I really like Lajes. This water spot is so relaxing, inviting and peaceful. Done the whale watching twice from Lajes and was on the top 3 things done in Pico and in Azores. Thank you for the nice video. Enjoy your return!

  18. Pico is just the way you left it. I'm surprised you left the back door open on your house, 😀I guess now that you're there construction should move a little quicker.
    I think you bought at the right time with inflation right now, that's one of the things that's holding me up. Take care and have fun. 😸

  23. There is a war in Ukraine and again and again it's ALL ABOUT YOUR BIG EGO AND YOUR GOAL TO ATTRACT TOURISTS ON THE ISLAND SO YOU CAN RENT YOUR HOUSE AND HELPING RELATIVES TO RENT ALSO THEIR RESORTS. SHAME!

  24. I´m convinced Madeira and Azores are heaven on earth for ppl with kids over 25, better 30 years. The only thing which frightens me of Azores is volcanic activity and earthquakes. ¡Greetigs from Coimbra! 🙂

  28. It's great to see you guys getting settled in. It's also great to see the renovations on the house. The moment you were walking down to the village it all looked familiar, the swimming hole, the windmill. Great video and much love from the US.
