Sithonia, named after Sithon, the son of the ancient Greek god Poseidon, is a unique peninsula. It stretches between the colorful Toronic Gulf and stretches to Cape Drepano. The highest point of the peninsula is Mount Itamos, located at an altitude of 811 meters above sea level.

You can get to Halkidiki by car or bus from Thessaloniki and the journey time is 1.5 hours.
The village of Nikiti is located at the very beginning of Sithonia and the local Greeks, mainly from Thessaloniki, have villas there. And many of the villas are luxurious. The Bulgarians from the Sofia region really liked this place, they have to go 70 km to the border
The village itself is divided into old and new Nikiti. Between them runs the main road, which is also the main shopping street. The old village is located on a mountain, and the lower one is apartments for rent for vacationers. The whole village is built up with them, which is within walking distance to the sea. Apartments for every taste and budget, built in different styles: from classic Macedonian to high-tech. The village has a beautiful long promenade with shops and taverns on one side and beaches on the other.
The beaches in Nikiti are sandy and pebbly, the entry into the water is shallow.
For those who like to lie on sunbeds with a drink, a strip of city beaches, which are adjacent to taverns and restaurants, is a 15-minute walk along the beautiful promenade. The city beach is sandy, well-groomed, there are no sea urchins. In the opposite direction from the embankment along the coast there are picturesque small bays. And in the distance there are amazing red rocks. On the red rocks, villas were also built, from where steps descend to the sea.
