Designed by travelers for travelers, this hybrid boutique hotel is a unique fusion of simple uncomplicated living and great vintage modern sensibilites. Created from a historic 19th century townhouse in central Porto, the light handed restoration and chic personal infusion of style make it feel like home. Native architect Emmanuel and his partner Patricia have come up with a hospitality and lifestyle concept that celebrates the food, culture and contemporary living of Portugal while showcasing the beauty of this historic townhouse.
The original layout and architectural integrity haven’t been interfered with while the restoration showcases sophisticated and distinctive design with a few modern twists. Fresh and easy, the whitewashed interiors and warm wood floors create a serene backdrop for a colorfully curated collection of vintage modern art, decor and furnishings with lots of personal touches. A total of six suites are arranged over the top three floors with the smallest perched in the attic rafters with rooftop views and the larger king and queen sized suites below, each with ensuite baths that include great soaking clawfoot tubs.
The on site restaurant, gourmet concept shop and kitchen gardens are all a part of incorporating gastronomy workshops, private dinners and art exhibitions into the experience as well as customized and personalized tours for guests. The menu for the restaurant and shop comes from local producers and vineyards as well as an onsite organic gardens that are seasonal delights. Private in room spa services top off the your experience and will help you fully appreciate and thoroughly immerse yourself into the pulse and culture of Porto.
