  1. It's just my limited opinion, but the Thai government needs to market harder. I've already booked for Costa Rica. 90 days on arrival and 90 more without a hassle. If you've ever spent the afternoon in the immigration office in Jomtiem, you really don't see that as a positive thing about your trip. Or a Visa run. Stupid game. The government could put an end that nonsense and make more $$ by making the visa longer and easily renewed online. 45 days is a nice start, but the whole world wants the tourists to return and they are not going where its a hassle to get in and stay. At least I'm not. There are just to many nice places for an old retiree like me to land without all that nonsense.

  2. Tim, please let us know if and when they increase the extension from 30 to 45 days. I'm looking to spend 90 days in Thailand which at this time it means I will have to get a 60 day visa then extend it for another 30 days. If they go with a 45 day extension that would save me some money and headaches.

  3. Great news, I'm travelling to Thailand for 6 weeks in December so this saves me a lot of admin and faff. Good stuff Thai authorities, a step in the right direction. Make travel as easy as possible for the people who are spending a lot of money on flights to get over there right now.

  4. Increase in Tourists arrival to Thailand are all exaggerated. Most tourists are backpackers couple, who r not into cheap sex. Also Covid, monkeypox outbreak and Indian poke didn’t help the sex industry.

  5. Thank you for sharing the news with a clear explanation of the story's background. The best.
(Fake Thais, cuteness, or the chick bait gets tiring and numbing. I stopped watching them.)
