Flying into Paris or Amsterdam is literally only a 30 minute difference flight time wise… The UK is not located somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic…
The Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport are being economical with the truth. Yes, 24 EU countries have visa free access for artistes, but they are individual country agreements. You cannot travel from one country to another. It is possible to tour the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany & France but would have to return to the UK between each country.
Belgium is an international renounced festival organizer, after 2 years of on and off lock-downs, Travel restrictions and Covid hassle, we’ve been having loads of festivals since april, there have been the 3 weekends of Tomorrowland and Rock Werchter, Graspop, Pukkelpop, Gent Jazz, TW Classic, Suikerrock, and lots more. Festival saison has been so crowded I think there was not one weekend without one. There has been lots of activity outside of the UK to play. Sadly for the UK this means more choice for European organizers.
The music event organisers in the EU are going for the maximum this year after 2 years without festivals because of Covid. That means more events with more stages, more hours, more days and of course more bands are needed. For Belgium alone I don't think there is a week in July or August without (at least) one event. The UK will be missing out on this "boom" of events.
Sounds like the best solution is to eliminate the Tory party and all their financiers and propagandists right the eff now, then put sensible people in government who will immediately strike a deal with the EU to restore freedom of movement and make it so you don't need a separate carnet.
I would´nt worry too much . The way things are going in the UK at the moment . You definately are due to get a support concert/festival very soon. "I Bless the brains down in Westminster!" or perhaps Live Aid 2.5 .
I play piano in Spain, but I got out before the witch could fire up its cauldron and could destroy the rest of my life, Love from the EU and Gran Canaria.
Your case would be even better if you included statistics. E.g. a graph of how many international bands coming to the UK from 2000-2022 if that showed a tail off graphically then that’s more concrete. A picture is a thousand words.
Video killed the Radio Star. The Brexit killed the need for Brits to travel .
Win Win for the EU.

£600? Is that for a lone singer with their favorite microphone?
Is this one of those “Brexit benefits” I’ve heard so much about? Whatever happened to “making things easier?”
Another benefit of brexshit 🤣

The philosophical arguments have been fought, they have not been won though, and there is a lot of reckoning to come.
Global Britain…. Global pariah

UK and world Artists are being Screwed By Brexit!!
I know Brexiteers/British conservatives hate the EU but given their lap-dog approach to America this must really hurt
THIS TORY TURDS ARE CRIMINAL WHAT THEY HAVE DONE

Brexit is turning the UK into a cultural backwater.
